Plot Overview

Nathan and Audrey attend the scene of a crime where the victim seems to have been folded, some of the strongest bones in his body snapped cleanly in half. They talk to Duke, trying to find out if there is any possibility it might have been a marine accident.

There is a call to the scene of a second incident. This time the victim is sliced apart down the length of his body in several long, parallel cuts. The only connection between the two incidents is some kind of black powder at both locations, and the witness.

Parker believes he has some kind of power that may be brought on by rage so she provokes him during interrogation. When he loses his temper and nothing happens, she decides he isn't the man they are after.

Nathan realizes that the black substance from the two crime scenes is sketching charcoal. He takes Parker to the local art store where the owner of the store exposes Nathan's artistic talents. She also gives them a clue to follow.

They enlist the help of Jess Minion to back them up with a tranquilizer gun and confront Jimmy by the boat. As they talk to him, his features begin melting away until he is left without a mouth, ears or eyes.

They take Jimmy to Eleanor for care. There, Nathan argues with Jess and sends her away.

Parker finds out that Vicky teaches art, so Nathan and Audrey go to talk with her. Audrey has a feeling that Vicky is lying, so the two of them go to investigate the family's home. There they discover the garage full of charcoal drawings. When Parker taps on a drawing of Nathan, he goes flying across the room. They realize that Vicky's drawings have the power to affect reality.

They go to the hospital to speak with the first victim. He confesses that he owed a lot of money to Captain Richards. They find Vicky. She confesses that Richards has her dad hostage and he's forcing her to keep drawing. Richards had been using her drawings to pressure people who he feels owe him.

Duke takes a case of wine to the boat for Richards. When Nathan and Parker arrive with Vicky, Duke tells Richards they shouldn't be seen together and hides in the boat while Richards goes onto the dock to meet Nathan and Parker.

While Nathan and Parker distract Richards on the dock, Duke finds Vicky's drawing of Richards in the safe on the boat and uses it to disable Richards.
