Hoppity Hooper was an animated comedy airing Saturday mornings on ABC. It was produced and created by Jay Ward, creator of Rocky and His Friends and The Bullwinkle Show.

Hoppity was a frog, a young and upstanding citizen of Foggy Bog, Wisconsin. Waldo Wigglesworth (a con-artist wolf) and his stooge Fillmore (a bear that loudly sounds a trumpet) are on the lam from the law when they happen upon Hoppity and convince him that he's Waldo's nephew. The trio sets about engaging in adventures serialized as 4-episode story arcs.

Unlike Bullwinkle, Hoppity Hooper plays it safe and foregoes the satire and political and social commentary. It does feature elements from Bullwinkle such as Fractured Fairy Tales, Peabody's Improbably History, and Mr. Know -It-All. Also featured is The World Of Commander McBragg (a Munchausen-esque tale-teller). This feature was produced by Leonardo-TTV.

Hoppity Hooper was first piloted in 1960 with Alan Reed as the voice of Fillmore and William Conrad as the narrator, but it wasn't until 1964 when it was picked up as a series for ABC. The show opening title theme was "Fight Fiercely, Young Teddy!"

In 1965, selected episodes were concurrently syndicated as Uncle Waldo's Cartoon Show.
