Charlie Gets Crippled is the first episode of the second season of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and the eighth episode overall. Charlie gets hit by the van after Frank, Dee and Dennis' father, suddenly shows up in town. He has divorced their mother and wants to be part of the gang.

Plot Overview
Dennis and Dee's father, Frank, shows up at the bar and says he wants to be part of the gang. He manages to convince Charlie to let him stay at his place by paying Charlie's rent. Meanwhile Charlie gets hurt and tries to use his wheelchair to impress women. He antes it up further by dressing like a war veteran and claiming to have been injured in Vietnam. Dee uses crutches and gets sympathy at the mall from several people, including an attractive man.
Dennis and Mac get drunk and come to the strip club, where they run over Frank, Charlie, and Dee as they are fighting. Now, they are all injured.
