KHSL-TV is a CBS affiliate located in Chico/Redding, California. The station broadcasts on digital channel 43.
The station began operation in 1953 as a CBS affiliate carrying ABC programming. In 1977, the station dropped its secondary ABC affiliate when KRCR-TV took over as the ABC affiliate for the area and began to carry NBC programming. In 1985, KCPM (now KNVN) signed on the air as the area's NBC affiliate leaving KHSL the sole CBS affiliate for the market.
