The Magilla Gorilla Show is an animated comedy that aired in syndication and later moved to ABC.
Magilla was a tame, sociable gorilla who was always up for sale at Mr. Peebles' pet shop. Mr. Peebles would unload Magilla a number of times only for him to wind up back in the pet store window. A sweet little girl named Ogee (so named because in moments of despair she says "Oh, gee") is Magilla's best friend and wishful purchaser. Also featured on the show were Ricochet Rabbit (a bunny law officer of the west--he was first designed as an antagonist in 1962 in an episode of Touché Turtle) and Mushmouse and Punkinpuss (think Tom and Jerry in the Arkansas backwoods).
When the show began a run on ABC in 1966, Ricochet Rabbit traded places with Breezly and Sneezly from companion Hanna-Barbera series Peter Potamus and his Magic Flying Balloon.
