Sir Maurice was once the ruler of a town in the magical land of the Enchanted Forest and the father of Belle. During the Ogre War, Maurice asked for Rumplestiltskin's help to protect the town and its people from being massacred by the Ogres, but as a result of this deal, Maurice lost Belle to Rumplestiltskin. After Queen Regina unleashed an evil curse on the entire realm, Maurice ended up living in Storybrooke as a man named Moe French, the owner of a flower shop. He is played by Eric Keenleyside and has appeared in eight episodes to date.
