Plot Overview
A socialite is accused of killing her husband, and their lawyers bring in Tony Petrocelli, a New York-raised, Harvard-educated lawyer who's moved to San Remo, Arizona, to help with her defense. The prosecution is out to prove that she knew her husband was going to leave her for another woman, but the dogged lawyer forges onward, finding the other woman who has been subpeonaed as a prosecution witness and won't talk to him. Tony's poking around stirs up someone's ire--his camper is run off the road by a mysterious cyclist, causing an accident which kills his wife Maggie's unborn baby, making him more determined to clear his client.

Allusions and References
A lot of the series' trademarks are in effect here...Tony's correcting of anyone who mispronounces his name (here, he corrects a tough-guy sheriff and even the judge presiding over the trial), the house that they're building (which they're still working on at the end of the series), Tony's constant scams to park his camper illegally (posting a sign on the front of the vehicle, usually saying that it's 'evidence' in a case) and the occasional threat on Tony's life, usually by someone shooting at him from a moving vehicle or trying to run him off the road...in this case, Tony being run off the road results in an accident that costs him his unborn baby.
Memorable Moments
Tony's quick to correct anyone who mispronounces his name as 'Petro-SELL-i' rather than 'Petro-CHELL-i', but how many lawyers would have the audacity to call a sidebar to the judge's bench to correct the judge?
