The Return is the seventeenth episode of the first season of Queen of Swords, and the seventeenth episode overall.

Plot Overview

Leonardo and Pietro arrive in Santa Helena both with different motives. Leonardo to rekindle his romance with Marta and Pietro to rob the locals and return to their ship. Pietro has already been at work and they flee to the Alvarado hacienda chased by soldiers. Pietro is killed, Leonardo and Marta arrested. Colonel Montoya under pressure from Don Hidalgo, spokesman for the Dons, wants action on the local criminals and Montoya wants more taxes. The Queens rescue plan is thwarted when only Marta is freed. Montoya does a deal with Leonardo to kill Don Hidalgo but who can be trusted?

Oliver Haden appeared in Zorro (1990) episode The Chase as Greywing.

Tessa has an Aunt, Uncle, and three cousins in Madrid.

Marta met Leonardo 10 years ago, in Madrid, when Tessa was 11 and their relationship lasted a year.

Leonardo spent 5 years in a Castille prison for stealing a loaf of bread.

Captain Grisham and Dr Helm do not appear in this episode.
