Basic Information

"Carol!" sketches typically start with Amanda (Amy Poehler) and Jim (Jason Sudeikis) speaking with a newly single male friend of theirs. Carol (Sanz) enters, and the male friend is immediately taken with her. The sketch then cuts to the title card, which features Carol dancing as the theme song plays. The lyrics to the theme song are:

And then there's Carol.
And then there's Carol.
Sassy, slutty, sexy, skanky,
Right on Carol.
(Spoken by Carol.) I'm Carol!

In each sketch, Carol makes numerous double entendres. She also flashes the "shocker," a hand gesture indicating double penetration. Most sketches also feature her ordering a drink which is not available wherever she is. The single, eligible male generally ends the sketch by slipping away with Carol for sex. In the character's final appearance, it appears Amanda and Jim do not appreciate Carol's interference, although that is not the case in her earlier appearances. (This may also be due to the fact that Carol's chosen paramour in the sketch is Amanda's father.)
