Split Second is a game show that airs on Game Show Network. It is the third version of the Split Second that aired from 1972 to 1975 on ABC.
Gameplay is the same as the original with a question with three elements. Contestants ring in by turn and give the correct answer to each element. The scoring is different, with 25 points awarded if all three players are right, 50 points each if two are right, and 100 points if only one player is correct.
Round two is the same, except the answers are worth double. The third round, the Countdown Round changes its scoring. To win the game, the first place contestant must get 4 correct answers. The second place player must get 6 answers, and the third place contestant must get 8 answers. Play continues until one player gets the number of required answers, making that person the winner.
The winner goes on to the Final Countdown. Here, questions are posed with two elements. The contestant selects one element and must correctly answer that element. Getting seven in sixty seconds wins a $10,000 cash prize.
