Plot Overview
Jo heads to Las Cruces, New Mexico to help the Silva family, a blended family of 7 where parents Tom & Danielle each have two kids from a previous marriage: 17-year-old Meghann & 7-year-old Alyson (who are Tom's daughters), 8-year-old Cheryl & 6-year-old Mackenzie (who are Danielle's daughters) and together, they have three children: 2-year-old daughter Riley, 1-year-old daughter Kassiah & 6-month-old son Caden.
Tom works for the Army National Guard and will be deployed to Iraq for a year leaving Danielle to care for the kids by herself while he's gone. The kids misbehave & constantly curse and Danielle copes with by yelling back at them. The relationship between Meghann & Tom is strained and in need of repair before Tom leaves for Iraq.
Can Jo help the Silvas before Tom leaves and help Danielle learn to cope with parenting alone while her husband's away?
