Tales from the Darkside is a horror anthology that aired in syndication. Each episode featured an intro narration by Paul Sparer followed by a standalone story. The show was produced by horror film maker George A. Romero, and was somewhat of a TV show version of his film Creepshow. After the show ended in 1988, two projects came out of its ashes: a theatrical film (Tales from the Darkside: The Movie) and another horror anthology TV series (Monsters).

An attempt was made by Joe Hill (son of Stephen King) to get the series rebooted in the 2010s, but was eventually turned in a comic series when no network would pick it up. In 2019, an actual Creepshow series was made with many of the same contributors.
