Both Wikipedia and Anime News Network give the finale date as September 30, 2001. This marks a span of 27 weeks for an series of only 26 episodes, indicating a week was skipped somewhere. However, this article on ANN states the series ended on September 23: http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/article.php?id=1062 I have chosen this date since it seems likely that an error was made on the main info page and then copied.
