Plot Overview

Max is furious when he learns that Bubba and Justin are stealing his oil and tells Jeb and Kate that he will put a stop to it. At the Top of the World Club, Justin and Ashley celebrate the good week he is having and Striker and Vicky wonder why Justin is so happy. Rikki brings a gift to Nita for the baby and then Detective Michaels arrives to talk to Rikki. Just as Joe is about to kiss Elena Reena enters barn #3 and hears something and gets a rifle and tells whoever is up in the loft to come down. Elena comes down and Reena asks her what she is doing up there. Elena tells Reena she is feeding the Edgar the cat and then learns of the plans for a barn dance. Maggie introduces Nita to her replacement Angela Perez and then overhears Maggie telling Duane on the phone that as soon as she can find a buyer for the restaurant she will be joining him in Amarillo. Reena learns from Max, Jeb and Kate that Bubba and Justin are slant drilling and then Max storms out with Reena following him in Kate's car. Justin tells Ashley that he wants to take over World Oil. Detective Michaels tells Rikki Joe Foster may be long gone but then again he may not be. Joe tells Elena he is no good and has to leave and then they kiss and he says she is another reason he has to leave. Ginny tries to comfort Kate about Justin trying to buy the ranch and then Ryan learns of Justin's plan. Rikki learns of Maggie's plan to leave Houston. Max attacks Justin in the Club and accuses him of slant drilling. Striker breaks it up and takes Max away and Vicky takes Reena away. Ryan suggests to Kate that she offer to buy Paige's share of the ranch. Justin tells Ashley he isn't slant drilling and Bubba isn't either. Rikki and Maggie talk about Nita needing some time to adjust to things. Bill Rafferty of Real People arrives to see Wang and meets Roy and Bobbie Sue. Then Bobbie Sue tries to comfort Billy Joe who feels like he has lost everything. Vicky tells Reena that they must handle Justin calmly or someone is likely to get hurt. Then Max and Striker arrive home. Striker tells Max to talk to Ryan and have a directional survey done. Billy Joe meets Peter Parnell and they talk about Joe, Elena and the money. Elena has Joe promise not to leave the ranch before morning so she can figure out what they are going to do. Max tells Ginny that Bubba and Justin are slant drilling and she tells him tell Ryan. Max vows to get rid of the oil well one way or another.
