Plot Overview

Elena wakes and wonders where Joe is. Peter tells Paige there is nothing in the papers about Joe's confession. Justin tells Ashley he is starting to dig another well and resume production of the first well for show only and will stop it in a couple of weeks. Then he gives her a bracelet as a gift. Max awakes with Reena and realizes that Justin is stealing their oil again. Reena tries to calm Max but he insists on seeing Ryan. Joe tells Elena he went out for the paper and feels better since writing the confession then learns from her that Paige lives with Peter Parnell. Paige tells Peter she expects they will check out the validity of the confession first and he tells her he has a very important meeting this morning. Max and Reena arrive to see Ryan. Elena visits Paige to make sure she hasn't told anyone where she got the confession and Paige says she won't but cautions Elena to be careful. Peter arrives at the room where Joe is staying. Peter finds a slip and knows Joe has a lady friend. Vicky asks Striker to talk to Max and Reena again about the oil well. Reena and Ashley discuss Justin and Reena warns her to be careful. Ryan and Max have words and Ryan tells him he can't justify another survey so unless Max has proof that Justin is slant drilling he better leave. Elliot tells Paige that it looks like Dennis will be cleared of the charges and then he questions why Paige is living with Peter. Joe finds Peter in his room and tells him that he knows he killed Alex Wheeler. Striker tells Max and Reena that the logging engineer would have to have been bought off also if there really is slant drilling and that info would probably be in the mud shack. Max storms out saying the heck with the law and Reena tells Vicky she doesn't know how to help him and is afraid for him. Ashley thinks about helping Justin and puts the bracelet back in the box. Peter tells Joe he wants his half of the money and Joe tells him he doesn't have it and to get out. Paige tells Elliot that Peter found her after she tried to commit suicide and she felt she didn't deserve anything better. Max apologizes to Vicky and then tells Reena he is going to be patient and wait for Justin and Bubba to trip themselves up but Reena questions if he is up to something. Ashley storms into Justin's office and tells him she doesn't want his payoff of the bracelet. Then Justin decides there is a gift she would take. Joe tells Elena that his boss paid him a visit and they have to get out of there and he suggests the apartment which Elena is reluctant to do.
