Plot Overview
Reena, Ginny and Ryan talk about Bubba and Lurlene. Kate and Lurlene discuss the kitten. Elena asks Joe to talk to Rikki. At the Coop, Ruby pours vodka into a thermos of coffee and then Rikki walks in to talk to Ruby about Phil. A stagehand tells Ben that she thinks Phil is hitting the sauce again. Reena tells Ginny and Ryan that she plans to be interviewed by Margaret Hanson. Joe agrees to talk to Rikki. Billy Joe asks where Ruby went after the show yesterday. Ryan advises Reena not to appear on Margaret's show. Ginny tries to convince Lurlene to call Caleb. Ruby tells Billy Joe and Rikki that she was making a record deal last night. Then Elena enters and asks Rikki to talk to Joe. Ruby tells Beau things are going well with her plan to oust Phil. Rikki talks to Joe and tells him that he has a chance to get off with a light sentence if he fights. As Lurlene works on a photo album the phone rings. Bubba tells Lurlene on the phone that he killed the kitten to teach her a lesson and if he doesn't get what he wants she will end up the same way. Then Ginny comes in. Rikki tells Elena that she doesn't think Joe will change his mind about having a lawyer. Ruby convinces Phil that he can do the show today and offers him some "coffee". While on the air a drunk Phil offends the guest and Billy Joe smoothes things over. Joe tells Elena he will stick with the court appointed lawyer. Lurlene grabs a gun and tells Ginny and Ryan that Bubba isn't in Mississippi. After the show Joan arrives to talk to Phil. Reena comforts Lurlene. The Sheriff tells Ryan and Ginny that he will do what he can to keep Bubba in jail. Phil tells Joan that Ruby him drunk on purpose. Beau and Ruby get close.
