Thank God You're Here is an improv comedy competition that aired on NBC. The series is a version of an Australian series of the same name. Each episode of the series features a rotating ensemble cast along with a group of performers who provide the structure of the scene.

Each episode follows a static, basic format. Host David Alan Grier introduces the episode's celebrity panel and pushes them through a blue door into a scene which they know absolutely nothing about. The contestants are greeted with the phrase "thank God you're here!" by someone in the scene and they're forced to improvise their way through the scene. If they reach the point where they are no longer funny or risk serious embarrassment, judge Dave Foley rings a bell and ends the scene early. After several scenes, the contestants join in on a scene where they all participate and are judged by Foley. The winner receives nothing more than bragging rights and a glass statue in the shape of a door.

Critical response to the import was overwhelmingly dismal, with television critics like Tom Shales calling it "hellish torture." The general consensus from critics is that with proper talent, the show could be funny, but ultimately the b-list actors inevitably resort to toilet humor when they're under pressure. It was also found that the supporting players rigidly stuck by their scripts, even when the main actor attempted to move in a different direction.

The series' cancellation was announced during NBC's upfronts for the 2007–2008 season.
