Plot Overview
Young Miles Baker is charged with kidnapping with intent to kill, a serious charge that carries a death sentence. Nichols knows the young man's story--he was kidnapped several years earlier by the man he himself is now accused of kidnapping. The lawyers plan a defense strategy that involves the young man pleading guilty by reason of insanity.
