The Jake Effect (known as It's Not About Me during development) is a single-camera comedy that was intended to be a 2002 mid-season replacement program on NBC. However, the show was canceled before it aired.
Bravo's website BrilliantButCancelled.com made all seven episodes available for viewing when it launched on May 23, 2006. Six of the seven episodes aired as a one-night event on Bravo on May 25, 2006 beginning at 8PM.
