The Oddball Couple is an animated comedy that aired on ABC.
Based loosely on Neil Simon's play The Odd Couple (which was made into a movie with Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau and then the ABC sitcom with Tony Randall and Jack Klugman, which was canceled the year before), the series starred a prissy neatnik cat named Spiffy and an unkempt dog named Fleabag. The two were reporters at large for a magazine.
DePatie-Freleng Enterprises co-produced The Oddball Couple with Paramount Television (which also produced parent series The Odd Couple). CBS Television Distribution is the show's distributor.
