Season Eight of The Scooby-Doo Show premiered on September 22, 1979, and was the first of four seasons to air under the title Scooby-Doo and Scrappy-Doo.
Due to declining viewership, the show was given an overhaul, adding Scooby's nephew Scrappy-Doo. The season is also notable for being the last Hanna-Barbera production to use laugh-track.
