The TV IV:Proposals/DVD Pages
From The TV IV
- There've been many different approaches to the layout and context of the DVD pages. What types of headers would you like on it to give the maximum amount of information possible?

- I think the way that I did it with the Futurama DVDs is optimal. It gives all of the information that anyone could want to know. The only question may be formatting for easier reading but it seems effective enough. --IndieRockLance 07:10, 8 Sep 2005 (PDT)
- There's been chatter about adding alternate region DVDs. I think that information could be linked on another page, either from the In Depth page or right after the Region 1 DVD information. --aenematron 13:50, 13 Sep 2005 (EDT)
- Agreed, some people have suggested added fields in the template, Region and country of origin. We should just assume that the DVDs are generally R1. --Fezz(Ryvius) 16:07, 13 Sep 2005 (EDT)
- I'm against this, because we live in a globalized world and the internet is a global medium, so a focus on US (or canadian) releases and series is a bit antiquated in my opinion. --Reihnold 04:51, 14 Sep 2005 (EDT)
- I think we should list the Region from the country of origin. If the show originated in the UK (i.e. Wallace & Grommit) then it's Region 2 PAL etc. For the North American based shows, we should say Region 1 NTSC (Never The Same Color) etc. And just simply state that the title is available in other regions if that is the case. --Randall 22:47, 15 Sep 2005 (EDT)
