The TV IV:Proposals/Featured Show (February 2006)
In the future, we will have a more detailed way of going about nominated featured shows. However, for the time being, this crude system will be implemented. What we currently need is your opinion of which show you would like to be the Featured Show on the main page for the month of February 2006. Give a reason for your decision. You may feel free to nominate any show you'd like on any grounds, including past Featured Shows, but please nominate a show that has some semblance of a set of articles up. You may make one vote for a show, but you may make multiple votes opposing a show or commenting as long as they are relevant. A random list of shows is listed below as an example of how to go about doing it, but feel free to add and comment on your own.

- What can I say, I just don't like most sci-fi shows all that much. This season of 24 is probably the most anticipated of the series and it was one of the first shows to be added to the Wiki. --IndieRockLance 20:51, 3 Jan 2006 (EST)
- My "Oppose" vote is on a provisional basis. The rules suggest that you nominate a show that has some semblance of a set of articles up. I'm going to work on that as much as possible, but right now, the 24 section is pretty empty, making it a featured show sounds like it would be more embarrasing then helpful for the wiki. --Stabbey 23:06, 12 Jan 2006 (EST)

- It is a futurist show that has a lot of amazing special effects. It is like Star Trek, but more exciting. :P --Matt 17:56, 3 Jan 2006 (EST)
- I am voting against because, like the 24 pages, there is no content. There are over 20 characters listed on the main page, but only one has a page for them. It's simply not ready to be a featured show and linked to prominently on the front page. --Stabbey 19:40, 17 January 2006 (EST)

- Almost no Plot Overviews – not even screencaps. Putting NCIS on the front page must be a joke (IMHO). --KAMiKAZOW 06:59, 28 January 2006 (EST)

- A number of people are working on this show right now and it should be pretty well filled out soon. The second half of the second season is currently airing on SciFi and a couple of the episodes airing in February are quite good.

- I made the main sections of the page directly from info from the creator, so it's pretty complete in a bare-bones kind of way. Another user did a great job on the premiere ep. Only one episode has aired in the season proper, and five more are going to run before they start reruns, then they'll air three more eventually. I just think it's the best Adult Swim show in a while and deserves more attention than the better known shows above.
- I'm going to excercise veto power and make this the featured show. I love NCIS, but judging from the logs this show brings a ton of people to the site, so I think it will be better for the site to have this on the front page. --CygnusTM <talk> 23:15, 2 February 2006 (EST)
