Notes
According to Marc Scott Zicree's book, The Twilight Zone Companion, producer William Froug had two girls, both starting out in their careers, for the pivotal role of Mary Rachel. One was Bonnie Beecher, the girl who wound up getting the part. The other was Liza Minnelli. Froug noted that Minnelli seemed nervous and tentative upon their meeting, while Beecher was the exact opposite, and she was the one the producer went with. He admitted to having absolutely no regrets about the casting decision he made.
