Plot Overview

The campers eat breakfast at the main lodge with Heather still showing the effects of being locked in the freezer during the previous challenge and wrongly blaming Gwen for what happened to her. At a nearby table, Duncan steals one of the mugs and Courtney, catching him in the act, chastises him for what he did.

Later, the teams assemble at the dock and Chris tells them that this week's challenge is centered around building trust with three challenges taking place with duos selected by Chris from each team taking part. The first challenge consists of a freehand climb up a cliff face with DJ and Duncan for the Bass and Heather and Gwen for the Gophers taking part. Chris gives them their climbing gear and explains that one person climbs while the other controls the slack on the rope and the climbers will have to contend with rusty nails, oil slicks, mild explosives and other surprises. Gwen and DJ put on the climbing gear, with Gwen puzzled to see a second rope attached to her, but Heather tells her it is a back-up line. DJ finds his pet rabbit, Bunny, in his pocket and gives it to Geoff to look after for him while he's doing the challenge. Gwen openly distrusts Heather and in the Confessional Can, Heather vows revenge and humiliation with regard to Gwen.

During the climb, Gwen falls back after an explosion but presses on. Moments later, Chris sprays Heather with hot sauce and Heather lets go of the rope to rub it out of her eyes, causing Gwen to hit the ground as a result. Chris sprays Duncan as well, but this proves ineffective as Duncan is wearing sunglasses (to protect his eyes) and opens his mouth to swallow the hot sauce. Gwen rejoins the climb and just after she passes DJ, Heather pulls the second rope attached to Gwen and rips away Gwen's skirt, revealing a pair of purple panties Gwen has on underneath. Despite this, Gwen recovers the remains of her skirt and goes on but DJ slips off and falls, and DJ's rope gets tangled around Duncan's ankle and he gets pulled up at the same time, and DJ and Duncan hang in the air as a result. Moments later, Gwen reaches the top and wins the challenge for the Gophers, then, to her embarassment, realizes that her panties can still be seen and she covers them up with her tattered skirt.

The next challenge takes place in the dining hall, which Chris says is an Extreme Cooking Challenge. Bridgette and Lindsay are the cooks for their respective teams and are to prepare a meal made from the fugu, a poisonous Japanese blowfish that is to be eaten by Geoff and Trent. On hearing this, Trent is very nervous and gets Lindsay to confirm she has taken biology class. When the meals are finished, Geoff takes a bite from Bridgette's dish (which is prepared sushi-style) and says everything is fine. Trent then takes a bite from Lindsay's poorly-prepared dish (which has a ketchup smiley face drawn on it by Lindsay), punches himself in the head three times and screams, then seems to be fine—until the poison from the blowfish kicks in moments later and Trent falls to the floor and turns blue. After pulling himself back up the table, a pale Trent, slurring his speech, says to Lindsay that he thought she said she passed biology, then he falls back to the floor and, to Lindsay's disgust, a pool of vomit forms around the back of Trent's head as he lays puking on the mess hall floor. Chris says Trent will be fine in 24 hours and Chef administers CPR as a precaution, much to Trent's horror.

A short time later, Geoff and Bridgette go for a swim at the dock with Geoff pausing to put DJ's pet, Bunny, in a safe place on a lifeguard chair before diving in. The scene shifts to the first aid tent where Chef gives Trent a needle for his food poisoning. Back at the dock, Geoff and Bridgette are drying off from their swim when they see Bunny being swallowed by a large snake. When Geoff tries to grab the snake, an eagle beats Geoff to the punch and flies off with the snake, and the eagle and the snake are then devoured at the edge of the dock by a fresh water shark.

Later, Chris tells the teams that the last challenge will have three blind challenges: the blind William Tell, the blind trapeze and the blind toboggan race. For the blind William Tell portion, Chris explains that one team member will be blindfolded and will be shooting crabapples at an arrow perched atop the head of a fellow team member with the first one to knock the arrow off being the winner. When DJ asks Geoff about Bunny, Geoff heads off to supposedly get his friend's pet while Courtney and Owen put arrows atop their heads and Sadie and Leshawna shoot apples at them with slingshots. Both shooters struggle at first before Leshawna manages to win by knocking the arrow off Owen's head. Sadie, however, continues to shoot and hits a bear, a seagull, a Sasquatch, and Courtney before Chris makes her realize it is over. Before slumping to the ground unconscious, Courtney vows to make Sadie pay for her recklessness.

For the trapeze segment, Chris explains that the trapeze is set up over a pond full of electric jellyfish with one team member blindfolded that leaps into the arms of a teammate swinging on the trapeze and if they miss, they land in the pond. Before the challenge starts, DJ asks Geoff where Bunny is and Geoff, not wanting to tell DJ that Bunny had died, tells him the rabbit ran away and DJ is disconsolate. With Harold on the trapeze, Bridgette is reluctant to jump at first but Harold convinces her to jump, and Bridgette succeeds and makes it to the other side successfully. Next, a blindfolded Heather prepares to jump to Lindsay, who is on the trapeze, but Lindsay mistimes the point for Heather to jump and Heather winds up in the pond and gets zapped by the electric jellyfish. Chris declares the Killer Bass the winner of this segment. In the Confessional Can, Gwen, pleased about what happened to Heather, has that in mind as she talks about the universe giving out freebies, then she looks up and smiles as she gives a thumbs up. At the infirmary, Heather, with a jellyfish still attached to her head, walks inside grumbling about the last challenge even as Courtney wakes up wondering where she is. Courtney then sees Duncan with a carrot luring a rabbit out of the woods.

Elsewhere, Chris explains that in the blind toboggan race, each team will have a blindfolded driver and navigator, who shouts directions. The teams are DJ and Geoff for the Bass and Gwen and Leshawna for the Gophers, though DJ is still despondent over the loss of Bunny. The teams set out down a steep hill but Leshawna/Gwen hit water part way down. At one point, Geoff points out that Duncan is waiting for them with "Bunny" (actually the other rabbit Duncan was luring before, intended to pass off as the recently-deceased Bunny). DJ removes his blindfold momentarily to see this is true. Back to his normal self, DJ steers his team past explosions to victory in the race, but Chris points out that DJ removed his blindfold during the race, which is against the rules, and the Geoff/DJ tandem is disqualified and the Gophers win the overall challenge as a result. Afterwards, Duncan hands over "Bunny" to a relieved DJ, and Courtney confronts Duncan about his good deed. While he denies it at first, he confesses about it to Courtney (who says she won't tell anyone).

At the campfire ceremony, marshmallows are given to Bridgette, Duncan, and Courtney, followed by Geoff and DJ. The final marshmallow goes to Harold with Sadie voted off, just as Courtney had vowed. An indignant Sadie calls the other campers a bunch of marshmallow-eating freaks and runs off to the Boat of Losers, wailing and crying. Once there, however, she sees Katie aboard the boat, and Sadie gleefully reunites with her best friend and they hug.
