Channel 61 signed on in 1972 as WRIP as a standard independent with an abbreviated broadcast schedule. Most of its programming early on consisted of religious fare along with mainstream programs. In 1986, they became a Fox affiliate. They changed calls to WDSI in 1983. They took on My Network TV on its subcarrier in 2006. On September 1, 2015, WDSI started being simulcast on WTVC-DT2 as WTVC's parent company, Sinclair, bought WDSI's programming assets. This TV, which was on WTVC-DT2, moved to WDSI-DT3. In November 2015, This TV moved to WDSI's main channel while Fox now airs exclusively on WTVC's DT2 channel. My Network TV had moved to the subchannel of CW WFLI.
