WKMG-TV is a CBS affiliate in Orlando, Florida. The station operates on digital chnanel 26 and is owned by Post-Newsweek Stations.
WKMG first began in 1954 as call letters WDBO-TV. In 1982, the station changed its call letters to WCPX-TV (now the current letters of the ION Television affiliate in Chicago, Illinois). In 1998, the station again changed its call letters to the current WKMG-TV, the station has been a CBS affiliate since its inception with secondary NBC, ABC, and DuMont affiliations. In 1956, it dropped NBC when WESH signed on the air that same year as the new affiliate in Orlando. In 1958, the station dropped ABC in favor of WFTV/channel 9 signing on the air as the new ABC affiliate for the area.
