WTLV is the NBC affiliate for Jacksonville, Florida. It broadcasts on digital channel 13 and is displayed under its analog channel position, 12. Its sister station is ABC affiliate WJXX-TV.
The station signed on September 1, 1957 as WFGA with NBC as primary and ABC as secondary, dropping ABC in 1966. It was the first television station in the United States primed solely for color telecasts. It was also the station that first broadcast a rocket launch from Cape Canaveral. In 1972, the call letters were changed to WTLV. It switched networks with ABC affiliate WJKS in 1980 and then switched back to NBC in 1988.
