Plot Overview
Diane Allemon of Michigan lives with her husband, Bernie, 14-year-old son Ben and 12-year-old daughter Allie. The family prefers being average instead of perfect. Diane doesn't put a lot of pressure on her kids to do well in school and saves the household chores for another day. Bernie takes side jobs in entertainment and promotions, dressing up in costumes to play leprechauns and sport mascots.
Diane swaps lives with Melissa Johnson from Ohio. Melissa is obsessed with working out and is very focused on appearances. She makes sure that her three sons: 13-year-old Kane, 12-year-old Kohl and 10-year-old Kolin look perfect every day. Husband Scott threatens to take everything out of their bedrooms if they come home with bad grades.
