Plot Overview
Karen Lawrence of North Carolina dedicates her life to her Christian beliefs. She handles all of the household chores due to her husband, Derryl's "Man Law" which states that only women should do chores while the men relax. They closely monitor their three children: 14-year-old Jessica, 9-year-old Amber and 8-year-old Derryl Jr. They control what the kids wear, watch on television and their computer usage.
Karen swaps lives with Jinxi Caddel from California. A former Mormon, Jinxi and her husband, Steve are proud atheists, have numerous tattoos and hang out with various types of people. Steve gave up his career to help Jinxi out with her online business. They encourage their three kids: 11-year-old Brynn and 9-year-old twins Aidan & Shea to be individuals and don't shelter them from the world. The family even has a stripper pole in their living room.
