Plot Overview
Cheri Patrick and her husband, Ryan of Kentucky are both former members & strong supporters of the United States military with three kids: 8-year-old Tyler (from Cheri's previous relationship), 5-year-old Brendan and 2-year-old Hayley. The kids must address their parents as "Sir" and "Ma'am" and they are not allowed to talk back or question authority. Cheri is obsessed with vacumning her home several times a day and sticks to her Christian values, taking the kids to church every Sunday & has them say grace before meals. Ryan works overtime every night at a steel mill in order to provide for his family, leaving Cheri to handle all the housework and childcare alone.
Cheri swaps lives with art teacher\peace activist Mina Leierwood of Minnesota; she and her nurse practitioner husband, Greg are practicing Quakers and encourage their two sons, 17-year-old Dan & 13-year-old Avram to question authority and form their own opinions. Her husband and children do more chores around the house than she does.
