Yu-Gi-Oh! Capsule Monsters is a 12-episode Yu-Gi-Oh! OVA series that takes place during the Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters series. This series was produced by 4Kids Entertainment, much like Yu-Gi-Oh! The Movie: Pyramid of Light, and thus aired in the USA first.
Set during Season 5 of Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters, Yugi and friends are transported to the world of Capsule Monsters. In this series, duel disks and cards are not used, rather monsters in capsules that are fired out of weapons that the characters wear on their arms.
