Daffy Duck and Porky Pig Meet The Groovie Goolies was the fourteenth feature of the ABC Saturday Superstar Movie, airing December 16, 1972. It was produced by Filmation in association with Warner Bros.
Daffy Duck and his Warner Bros. cartoon stablemates are making a movie about King Arthur, when the studio is sabotaged by a mysterious phantom. The phantom appears on TV to announce his intentions to destroy every frame of film Daffy has ever made, and who should be watching but the Groovie Goolies, all professing to be big Daffy Duck fans. The Goolies make their way to Hollywood to help Daffy and his pals solve the mystery.
The Goolies had previously appeared on CBS's Sabrina and the Groovie Goolies in 1970.
