The ABC Saturday Superstar Movie was an anthology series of 60-minute cartoon movies airing Saturday mornings starting in the fall of 1972. It was patterned after the ABC Movie of the Week. Each film was budgeted at around $300,000, nearly a quarter more per half-hour than a normal Saturday morning cartoon.
Hanna-Barbera animated the wraparound segments for the show as well as providing most of the features.
