• A terrorist organisation called the Covenant has emerged.

Characters

• Sydney was thought dead when remains with her DNA were found in the burned remains of her apartment.

• Jack was arrested for contacting Irina, seeking her help in finding who was responsible for Sydney's death. After she manages to arrange his release, he shows a video he discovered that shows her murdering a man named Andrian Lazarey.

• Vaughn has left the CIA to become a teacher. Sydney later expresses anger that he moved on and married when he thought she was dead.

• Sydney learns that Sloane has become a philanthropist and CEO of a world health organisation called Omnifam. He claims the Rambaldi device gave him a message of peace and is now a changed man having negotiated a pardon with the CIA to become consultant.

• Dixon has been promoted to Director of Joint Task Force.

• Carrie is pregnant with Marshall's baby, but the two haven't gotten married.
