Plot Overview

Jason was complementing Blaine on her many talents when Melissa arrived at the club. Rachel was sorry to hear from Ada about Larry and Clarice's marital problems. Kit caught Rick coming out of Marianne's bedroom when she returned home from being out of town. Blaine told Melissa she'd be working with Jason on the escort service instead of her. Jason offered Melissa a room and the use of his car to get around town. Kit accused Marianne of playing games with Rick while having feelings for Jamie. Ada warned Rachel not to discourage Jamie from seeing Cecile. Melissa told Sandy that Ilsa has people looking for him. Sandy suspected Ilsa's involvement when he learned Tracy had been killed. Brian told Jerry that Margo's dead body was found in Carbondale. Pat and Mac agreed to increase the budget for a second article from an author. When Sandy felt Mac's money was no longer important, Melissa reminded him that it could free him from Ilsa. Mac offered Phillip a job as editor of The Ledger, which Mac recently purchased. Rick didn't want to hear Kit's warnings about being involved with Marianne. Russ discharged Sandy from the hospital into Mac's care. Kit agreed to keep Jerry company while he dealt with Margo's death. Pat was ambivalent about resuming a relationship with Phillip. Mac introduced Sandy to Rachel and insisted Sandy think of them as family.
