Plot Overview
Rachel demanded that Mac read the note Jamie left her. Philip showed Pat the 2nd half of the editorial, which implicates Jason in Tracy's death, and told her he isn't sure whether to print it or not. Rachel told Mac she blames Sandy for taking everything away from Jamie and vowed revenge on Mac, Alice, Sandy, and Cecile if anything happens to Jamie. Cecile implied to Pat that Jamie and Marianne have run away together. Ada urged Rachel to let Jamie be alone for awhile. Jim assured Pat that Russ will get through Tracy's death and agreed to talk to him. Joey refused to let Sandy blame himself for everyone's problems. Sandy asked Joey if he could move back into the apartment with him. Joey agreed not to speak badly about Cecile in Sandy's presence. Clarice let Rhonda leave work to go to the Sporting Life and invite Jerry to dinner. Pat gave Mac a letter from Jamie to read. Alice comforted Mac, who read Jamie's letter of resignation from the Complex. Larry convinced Jerry to accept Rhonda's dinner invitation. Sandy told Cecile about his last conversation with Mac. Cecile told Sandy she thinks that Jamie and Marianne left town to be together. Alice encouraged Mac to let Jamie make a life for himself on his own. After Sandy admitted to being involved with Cecile, Ada wondered what Cecile did to make Jamie leave her. Russ predicted Jason would pay when Jim told him the truth about Tracy's death. While having dinner, Jerry and Rhonda agreed to see each other again. Mac and Alice had a nightcap and danced together. Clarice received another strange phone call. Mac and Alice kissed while dancing.
