Notes
Trivia
The Show
- The brand of whiskey planted in Bloom's luggage is "Pappy Grantham", named after the character of Nathan Grantham from the "Father's Day" story of the first Creepshow film. The image on the bottle is clearly modelled on him as well.
- Hank and Connor drink bottles of Harrow's Supreme, the brand of beer from Gray Matter, as they plan their attack on the government building.
- Connor is seen using the same lighter that Norm Roberts used in Public Television of the Dead.
- The ashtray from "Father's Day" can be seen on Hank's kitchen table. He and Connor use it as they plan their attack.
Behind the Scenes
Allusions and References
- Ethan Embry, who plays Hank, previously played an abusive, survivalist husband in the Masters of Horror episode Incident On and Off a Mountain Road.
- Hank plans to have Jack read a manifesto titled "The Pale Horse's Cookbook" in the hopes of Jack gaining his extremist views. The book is revealed to be written by Denton Wilbury, which is the name of the racist, survivalist protagonist of the story "The Bunker" from Tales from the Hood 3.
- The aspect of Bloom's plant form feeding and growing on human blood is a possible allusion to the musical film Little Shop of Horrors.
