Plot Overview
A man invents a machine that allows one to immerse and interact with the setting, characters, and plot of a movie. However, his wife grows upset as he continuously spends time using the machine to enter one particular movie.

- To date, this is the only regular episode to feature a single story.
- The table of contents lists the titles of the previous stories from episode of this season, descending from this one down to the "Shapeshifters Anonymous", although it skips everything between "Night of the Living Late Show" and "The Right Snuff". The covers of some of these episodes appear in the Immersopod's film listings.
- Joe's triple feature movie poster from Model Kid is also seen in the above film listings.
Behind the Scenes
Allusions and References
- The film Simon visits is 1972's Horror Express. The episode incorporates actual footage from the film to establish Simon's immersion inside it.
- The film Renee puts Simon into is Night of the Living Dead from 1968. It's also utilized as the VR game the Creep plays in the cold opening. The ending continues to see him get in a helicopter and arrive at a mall, referring to the 1978 sequel Dawn of the Dead. It finally ends with him arriving inside a gated area with a cargo elevator, alluding to the 1985 sequel Day of the Dead.
- Simon meets Dr. Alexander Saxton, Christopher Lee's character from Horror Express, and lists off various other roles Lee has played, including Dracula, Frankenstein, The Mummy, and Saruman from the Lord of the Rings trilogy.
- Renee nearly namedrops William Gibson's novel "Neuromancer" when detailing how she heard of virtual reality.
