Behind the Scenes
Guest star James Best is one of Burt Reynolds' closest friends, and Reynolds has managed to get Best work in almost all of his TV series. He played the villain in the final episode of Hawk, Reynolds's previous cop series (in an episode directed by Reynolds himself) and also guest-starred on Burt's late '80s detective series, B.L. Stryker.
Best has also served as an Associate Producer on a number of Reynolds movies and also has made walk-on appearances in several as well.
