Burt Reynolds was an American actor who was a major star in the 1970s and beyond with such films as Deliverance, Smokey and the Bandit and Boogie Nights. In television, he is best remembered for his roles as Quint Asper in Gunsmoke, as the title character in B.L. Stryker and for his role as Wood Newton in the critical and audience hit Evening Shade.
