Plot Overview

The FBI investigates a pair of families murdered that share similar structures, including both having a missing child. Meanwhile, Hannibal spends time with Abigail.

Behind the Scenes

• This episode was pulled from NBC's schedule at the request of Bryan Fuller. While the popular story is that it was done as a result of the Boston Marathon Bombing, the decision was actually made before the incident and in light of the overall atmosphere at the time (such as the Sandy Hook school shooting, which occurred just months earlier). In order to keep fans apprised, the episode was made available as a web series featuring only scenes concerning the overall story arc.

• Gina Torres is the real-life wife of Laurence Fishburne.

Allusions and References

• When in Will's home, Hannibal briefly plays on his piano the opening notes of Igor Stravinsky's The Rite of Spring. Perhaps not coincidentally, Mads Mikkelsen appeared in the film Coco Chanel & Igor Stravinsky.
