Season Forty-One of Masterpiece Theatre premiered on January 9, 2011. Like the previous three seasons, it included British imported programming, presented under three different themes: Masterpiece Classic, Masterpiece Mystery, and Masterpiece Contemporary.

Masterpiece Classic included:

• Downton Abbey, season 1 (re-edited from 7 hourlong episodes to 4 90-minute episodes), airing January 9-30;
• miniseries Any Human Heart, airing February 13-27;
• Upstairs Downstairs, season 1, airing April 10-24;
• miniseries South Riding, airing May 1-15

Masterpiece Mystery included:

• Agatha Christie's Poirot, the final two episodes of season 11 and one season 12 episode, airing June 19-July 3;
• Agatha Christie's Marple, the last un-aired episode of season 5, airing July 10;
• Zen, the shows first and only season, airing July 17-31;
• Lewis, season 5, airing September 4-October 9;
• Case Histories, season 1, airing October 16-30

Masterpiece Contemporary included TV movies Page Eight (airing on November 6) The Song of Lunch (airing on November 13)
