Plot Overview
The victim is the Chairman of the Board at a posh riding club. The killer is the Salvadoran nanny for the daughter of one of the club's newest members. The dead man was found in a stable trampled to death by a horse, but he also was given enough of a dose of a horse tranquilizer to kill him. Lucas notices something unusual in the victim's car--two cinder blocks and a length of rope, and a subsequent look into the trunk reveals sheets of plastic. Angie and Oscar suspect that the dead man was planning murder himself, and they discover that the dead man, whose name was John Rivera, didn't exist until a year ago when he arrived in Canada, and that all of his financial information under the Rivera name was also less than a year old. Finding out just who he is turns out to be the key to solving the murder. With regards to Angie's situation, Oscar pays Cross a visit and defends her, while Assistant D.A. Samantha Turner, who also happens to be Cross's girlfriend, corners Angie and tries to get her testimony in the upcoming trial, and Angie refuses.
