Plot Overview

Elena arrives at Billy Joe's and tells him she has to break their pizza and movie night because she has a date. Ruby finds Allison at Marshall Oil and asks her why she and Justin are trying to railroad Billy Joe. Judith tells Grant she wants to know about the accident so Grant tells her that George St. John shot her. Grant tells Judith that George wanted to shoot him for something that happened a few years ago but that she stopped in front of the bullet and saved his life. Judith feels that somehow makes what's happened to her more bearable. When Grant leaves he runs into Hunt and tells him that Judith doesn't even remember that she had an affair with George. Hunt offers to speak to her. Justin arrives and Ruby tells him and Allison that December 20th is the last day Billy Joe's commercials can air without residuals but his last shooting date is tonight at midnight. When Ruby leaves Allison tells Justin she is sorry she didn't read the contract more closely. Then she tells Justin she is having dinner with T.J. and Justin is against it until he realizes that she can find out what T.J. is up to. Elena tells Billy Joe she is nervous about her date with Dan Butler tonight but thanks Billy Joe for understanding. Billy Joe wonders why he feels so lonely. Cyrus visits Mark and tells him he is thinking about taking his leases to Marshall Oil and Mark tells Cyrus off. Hunt talks to Judith about the shooting and tells her that George was killed. Then she tells him that she has a feeling she is better off not remembering what happened that day. At the Coop, Ruby sees Joel and Lurlene and tells them that Judith can't walk and the doctors don't know for how long it will be and she doesn't know she and Mark got married. In private, Joel asks Ruby if they should postpone the wedding and she says no. Brian tells Justin there is nothing in T.J.'s background they can use against him but Justin thinks Allison might be able to help them. At dinner, T.J. tells Allison he knows she has Gregory's real birth certificate and he wants her to give it back tonight. Allison claims she doesn't have the birth certificate but T.J. tells her that everyone thought Gregory was born in Georgia except for her. Then Allison tells him she wants a man to give her all the love that Ashley took away and comes on to T.J. Doris, Kate, Paige and Gregory talk about new starts. Lurlene and Joel chat with Dan and Elena. Then Lurlene makes up an excuse to go home with Joel leaving Elena and Dan alone. As they dance, Elena tells Dan about Joe and how he is in prison and she doesn't know if she still loves him or not. She also tells Dan that her father died when she was very young and her mother abandoned them. Then she says her brother Max died in an oil explosion last year and her sister Terry works for World Oil in Paris. In contrast, Dan talks about his happy childhood and tries to get to know Elena as she resists. Ruby tells Billy Joe that his contract is up tonight with Marshall Oil. Then Ruby tells him that Judith can't walk and doesn't even remember her affair with George or that she and Mark are married. Then Ruby tells him his divorce from Nita is almost final and he should start dating. Billy Joe tells her it would be nice to find someone to make him feel the way Nita used to if such a woman exists and Ruby tells him she is closer than he thinks and all he has to do is open his eyes. Justin learns that Cyrus called to talk to him. Then Doris gives Paige a letter from Dennis' attorneys in New York. Gregory asks who Dennis is. Mark questions Grant about why Hunt was talking to his mom. Grant tells him Hunt is a psychologist but Mark isn't happy about it and Grant tells him he is too tired to argue with him and leaves. Then Ruby asks Mark to let her help him with what Allison was doing. Elena visits Billy Joe and tells him about how she wasn't nice to Dan on the date. Then Billy Joe tells her he is glad she stopped by and is here for her whenever she needs him. Paige tells Gregory that Dennis is her ex-husband. Then she reads the letter and tells Justin, Kate, Doris and Gregory that Dennis is divesting some of his holdings and is giving her the Top of the World Club and the World Oil penthouse. T.J. asks Allison for the birth certificate but she says she doesn't have it. Then he asks her what she wants and Allison comes close to kissing T.J. and tells him that he already knows.
