Basic Information
Sorata is a light-hearted man that Syaoran and friends have encountered three times on their journey from world-to-world. The first was in the Hanshin Republic, the second in Koryo Country, and the third in a village. In all instances, Sorata was married to Arashi.
Character History
- Hanshin Republic: Sorata and Arashi locate the group after their battle with Shogo in The Sword That Dispels Evil. They know Yūko and possibly owe her a debt, which they partially repay by helping Sakura. Apparently Sorata works an office job while Arashi stays at home, thus Sorata does not appear as much in this world.
- Koryo Country: Syaoran and friends are surprised to encounter Arashi and Sorata again. This time the couple are villagers who would like to overthrow the local Ryonfi (lord). Sorata ends up supporting Syaoran and the others when they go storm the castle, but he and the other villagers become entranced by the Ryonfi's magic during the raid. The spell is broken when Chun Hyang shines a magical mirror inherited from her mother.
- Unnamed village: When they revisit the village from The Last Wish, it turns out that Sorata was one of the villagers killed in search of Sakura's lost feather, then later resurrected by Sakura's wish. However, he is now in danger of disappearing. He assists them with finding another of Sakura's feathers and beseeching the god for assistance, but nothing can be done for Sorata and the other villagers. Before he disappears, his wife Arashi admits that she was killed when she journeyed to the temple to pray for him, and they embrace before they both vanish.

Trivia
- Sorata is an alternate version of Sorata Arisugawa from X. Sorata Arisugawa was a warrior monk raised to someday join the Dragons of Heaven and save humanity. He also knew that he would die for the sake of a woman, and upon meeting Arashi Kishu, decided it would be her.
