Plot Overview

Syaoran has a strange and disturbing dream featuring a clone of himself and a strange voice. He is woken up by Mokona. Outside, Syaoran finds the other preparing aircraft for the upcoming race. Suddenly, Mokona transmits a message from Yūko, who is still waiting for her White Day present. Yūko is a bit surprised to find out about the race.

They flashback to their arrival, when they saw an advertisement about the race. Sakura's feather is the grand prize. After talking to Yūko, they all go out for a flight, and Sakura causes all of them to crash. Despite this, Sakura wants to help get her feather back. As they ride back in a car, they almost crash into a limousine. Kurogane spots Tomoyo in the back of the limo, but she's more interested in Sakura. It turns out she's Tomoyo Daidouji, president of the Piffle Princess Company, and Sakura is the heroine she needs for her film about the race.

Sakura tries to fly again, only to crash. Syaoran gives her another lesson on how to fly, while Kurogane and Fai have a discussion about how they meet different versions of the same person. Meanwhile, Fei Wang Reed's assistant sends in their agent, someone who Syaoran and the others have already met. The logic is that because they expect to see people with the same face in different worlds, they would never notice if someone they met before showed up.

At the race, Sakura, Syaoran, and Mokona are all surprised to see so many familiar faces. The pre-elimination race begins, and Sakura quickly finds herself in trouble as her vehicle goes out of control. Syaoran advises her to shut the engine off and glide. Meanwhile, Kurogane and Fai finish first and second. Other racers shortly follow. On the ground, all of the engines start to blow out. Unfortunately for Syaoran, his engine blows too — in mid-air. Sakura isn't affected because of when she shut her engine off, and Syaoran tells her to go on ahead and finish the race.

Syaoran finds himself fighting for position with several of the gang members, so he guns it and crashes into the finish line. The vehicle is destroyed, but Syaoran is fine and qualifies for the tenth spot in the final race.

Everyone, from Syaoran to Tomoyo, is pretty sure that the race was sabotaged — and that it was one of the finalists.
