Plot Overview

Notes

Mystery of the Week

  • Wallace Framed: After talking to a reporter about Rashard Rucker hitting the homeless man with a car, Rashard and the rest of the people in the car change the story to say that Wallace was driving. Before being extradited to Chicago in a self-surrender, Veronica and Wallace must prove Wallace's innocence. Wallace and Veronica decide on a plan to get into a booster dinner where he can talk to Rashard alone and get things set straight. Veronica manages to kidnap Rashard without him knowing and takes him to a hotel where Wallace waits. However, Uncle Rucker hops into the car with him and the plan is scrapped. However, Wallace remembers that there's a White Castle guy who remembered Rashard, but Uncle Rucker apparently got to him as well. As a last ditch effort, Wallace finds Rashard at a party, where Rashard tells him to get out of his life and winds up getting locked in a closet. However, Rashard and Jackie leave for a club and Veronica trails them. Luckily, it's the same club that the big deputy from the previous episode bounces at and Veronica recruits him into switching phones at the metal detector. After stealing the phone, Wallace finds the White Castle guy and tips off the police to his whereabouts.

The School Bus Disaster

  • Keith sneaks into the evidence room and steals several audio tapes with interviews with students who were in the limo. He offers Veronica the idea that the dead rat was a utility to get the rich kids off the bus. Also on the tape was Gia Goodman (daughter of Woody) saying that Curly was the only person who knew how to fix her Fiat. Woody also apparently knew that the bus crash would happen.
  • While shredding an unrelated file, Veronica finds Terrance Cook in a picture with Ms. Dumas, the journalism teacher who was also on the bus.
  • Weevil once beat Curly into a bloody pulp for unknown reasons (possibly just the Fitzpatricks connection).
  • Meanwhile, Lamb has taken Terrance Cook into custody for questioning.

Felix's Murder

  • After discovering that Felix was dating one of the Fitzpatricks, Weevil confronts the girl, who tells him that it was a secret and they went to the same church where her uncle is a preacher. Weevil becomes convinced that there's a drug trade running out of the confessionals in the Catholic church that Felix was part of. Logan and Weevil attempt to have Veronica bug the confessional. This is confirmed when Thumper is shown as taking a drug filled hymnal left by Liam. Unfortunately for Weevil, it doesn't seem to matter much because Thumper uses the alliance with Logan against him to turn the gang. It seems all but confirmed that Thumper did kill Felix, but is blackmailing Weevil out of not spreading the theory.

Behind the Scenes

Allusions and References

  • Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle: The title of the episode is a reference to the 2004 stoner movie, Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle, a movie about two drug-addled teenagers in search of a White Castle fast-food restaurant.
  • Those Who Tresspass: When Keith says "I got me a book" at the police station, he holds up a copy of TV pundit Bill O'Reilly's vaguely autobiographical, somewhat pornographic novel, Those Who Trespass.

Goofs

  • When Wallace's phone rings while he's in bed, the screen is on normally as if he wasn't receiving a call.
