WDAZ-TV is an American local station. Licenced to Devils Lake, North Dakota, it is based in nearby Grand Forks and serves the northern half of the Fargo/Grand Forks market. The station is owned by Forum Communications Company as an ABC affiliate operating on digital channel 8. It also airs the True Crime Network on digital channel 8.2 (formerly occupied by The CW prior to that affiliation moving to KXJB-LD upon its sign-on in September 2016), an independent subchannel (branded as WDAY'Z Xtra) on 8.3, ION Television on 8.4, Defy TV on 8.5 and TrueReal on 8.6.

WDAZ is a semi-satellite of Fargo station WDAY-TV. Though it identifies as a station in its own right, airing its own station IDs and commercials, most of its non-ABC programming comes from WDAY (including the latter's newscasts, which began airing on WDAZ in 2018 after the news departments of the two stations were merged and WDAZ's newscasts were cancelled as a result). Although WDAY is considered to be one of the main stations in the Fargo/Grand Forks area, it can only be seen over the air in the southern half of that market because, until the American digital television switchover of 2009, it had to conform its channel 6 analog signal to protect the signal of Winnipeg, Manitoba station CBWT, which also operated on channel 6 until the Canadian digital switchover on August 31, 2011. To solve the coverage problem created by this, WDAY signed on WDAZ on January 29, 1967.
