Plot Overview

The two men who were caught trying to steal Gunpowder out of the Quartelare being questioned by Captain Toledano.They refuse to answer his questions concerning the Gunpowder,as well as the Eagles Feather,to which Toledano is certain it contains a message.So,Toledano decides that he will question them the next day,and if they stillrefuse to answer,he will put them before the whipping post .Figueroa,the guard,and fellow henchman of the Magistrato is ordered to take them back to their Cells.Figueroa,gives a message to the Beggar to give to the Magistrato.The message is about Toledanos questioning the two men about the attempted theft of the Gunpowder.The Magistrato knows that if Toledano questions the two men any further,the Magistrato knows that the two men will crack especially under tortore.The Magistrato write a note for the Beggar to give to Figueroa to secretly help the two men escape.However this plan fails thanks to,or rather thanks by accident to Sergeant Garcia,who captures them(again as in the previous episode).By the morning,the two men will be unable to answer any questions about the attempted theft of the Gunpowder.They will be found dead in their Cell.The cause of their death is poison.On the Magistratos orders Figueroa had poisoned their food.The Magistrato will call a meeting of all the Dons to discuss all of the Crimes that have been going on in their beloved Pueblo.This so-called meeting is really a ploy to place the blame for all of the Crimes which have taken place on an innocent.Zorro of course will make a surprise visit to expose the real guilty party.

Figueroa overhearing Captain Toledano discussing with Sergeant Garcia the person responsible for poisoning the two prisoners.Figueroa is shining the Commandants Boots. Sergeant Garcia is surprised to see the two men trying to escape,and captures them.Zorro forces Figueroa to drink the poison wine,but he drops it instead.
